Vessel Arrival Notification
VESSELS exceeding 20M LOA AND or DRAUGHT EXCEEDING 2.5 METERS
Prior to entering Weymouth harbour, all masters of commercial vessels should give at least 24 hours’ notice to Weymouth harbour by completing the online Vessel Arrival Notification Form.
On approach to Weymouth harbour, ensure that notification via VHF Channel 12 of the following is given to Weymouth Harbour Radio:
- Estimated time of arrival
- Draft
- Length overall
- Beam
- Any defects or deficiencies that may affect the seaworthiness or handling capabilities of the vessel
Vessels less than 20m LOA and draught not exceeding 2.5 meters
All visiting vessels should complete the online Vessel Arrival Notification Form prior to entering the Harbour, or at least within 2 hours of arrival.
Additionally, within listening hours:
(15th April – 15th September: 07:30 - 21:00hrs, other times: 07:30 – 18:00hrs)
If the Vessel does not have an allocated annual Place of Mooring in the Port, on entry to the Harbour Limits, the Master should inform Weymouth Harbour Radio by the quickest possible means, (VHF Ch 12 or phone to +44 (0)1305 838 423) of the Vessel’s arrival.
Fishing vessels utilising the Fish Landing Quay
All visiting vessels using this facility should complete the online Vessel Arrival Notification Form prior to entering the Harbour, or at least within 2 hours of arrival.
Masters of all commercial vessels should also, when required by guidance, law or the Harbour Master, provide all information required for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s Consolidated European Reporting System (CERS) including information on Dangerous and Polluting Goods (HAZMAT), International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) and Port waste notification.
